Dale Bigeni is an artist based out of Sydney, Australia. Dale have been working in the design industry over a decade, and has been illustrating ever since he could hold a pencil. He tells us he is fueled by the ever growing art scene in Australia and strives to produce quality artwork which is heavily influenced from the skate scene and the tattoo world.
We recently collaborated with Dale on our popular Creation tee and tank design. We wanted to know more about what inspired this rad artist so Dale took five minutes out of his busy schedule to answer a few of our questions. Suss out the interview below and be sure to follow Dale on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE.

When did you realise you had a flair for your current skill?
I feel like I’ve always known I would be creative. The digital side came to me back in 2003 when I started studying Graphic Design.
What do you fear most?
Not being able to be around my daughters.
What has been your biggest break, to date?
I’d have to say doing work for SULLEN ART COLLECTIVE has been my biggest break.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Work Hard and Never change who you are!
Who makes you laugh?
Myself, I do a lot of dumb shit! Also, My dad is pretty funny ALWAYS!
If you had not pursued your current career, what do you think you would be doing?
I think I would of ended up in retail or something pretty ordinary to pay my bills.
Who is your favourite artist?
Way too many to pick out just one but SWEYDA (Jared Mirabile) is super inspiring!
What is your favourite movie?
All time greatest movie is GOONIES.
What question are you most commonly asked?
At the moment, everyday I get asked (on instagram) “What tablet are you using?” For all reading this, it’s a Wacom Cintiq 13” HD!
Do you have a secret skill/party trick?
Yeah its called the smoke bomb, it’s awesome! I tell people I'm going to the toilet, then I just go home HAHA!
What is your biggest regret?
Hmmm, I’d have to say pushing my art at a younger age. I feel like I wasted a lot of years.
What is the best lie you ever told?
I don’t know if there is such a thing as a best lie, ha!
What are three things that people do not know about you?
1. I'm a dad to 2 little girls.
2. I don’t party much.
3. I won’t do work for free.
What has been your best project to work on?
I won’t say the best, I’ll say the most fun to work on was my current piece for Jimmy Royale. Travis Price is one of my favourite illustrators and to work on a project directed by him was pretty awesome.
If you could give on piece of advice to someone possibly wanting to do what you do, what would that be?
I would say, Make sure you work as hard as you can, don’t create art just to make money, Create art because it makes you happy and proud!

A ballad about ageing and nostalgia for youth, may not exactly be your idea of a pre-game track, but when it's an old Arctic Monkeys song that's bouncy and poppy, and the film clip includes a brawl with clowns, it kind of works. 'Fluorescent Adolescent' is this weeks beat of choice.
