'Under the Influence: New York Hardcore' takes you from the concrete streets of the Lower East Side to crossing the globe to South Korea, in order to examine one of the most distinctive genres from New York City. The influence is captured with interviews from not only artists who helped give rise to the scene but the crowd that have been inspired to apply HC ideals into their own lives. This doc, narrated by Tim Armstrong, is authentic in its approach and will have you appreciating more than ever the power of hardcore and what it means to be part of it.
