This Sunday Sesh we are raising our glasses to the Dutchman's Daiquiri !
Although most people think of the Daiquiri as a sugar-filled blender bomb, the Dutchman's take on the classic Daiquiri certainly has a bit more flare. In addition to the classic ingredients, lime juice and sugar shaken with ice and strained, this concoction requires Dutch Gin and more than a whole Red Chilli!
- So dust off that cocktail shaker and get in!
A good place to start with the Vieux Carre, perhaps, is how to pronounce it. Although the name is French, the pronunciation most certainly is not. This cocktail is pronounced ‘voo car-ray’.
Here's to all the good times wasted on having good times and the good times to come. 1960's gritty and bluesy sounding British band Eric Burdon and The Animals are giving us 'The Good Times', an ode to regrets of having wasted time away on useless things, only thing is, we don't regret them!
